Installed a Sun Tube Today

I am in the middle of 2-story addition (well, a little over half way).

The existing (and only) bathroom is now pretty much cut off from the outside world now....the window has to go...so, besides adding a powered vent and light, I added a sun tube....

All I can say is....Holly Cow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the pic of the bathroom before....turned the flash off so I could have somewhat of controlled before/after pictures...

This is the hole....this is one of our cats with it's tail through the hole...

And the end result....

My wife's comment "Why didn't we do this 10 years ago?"

Side note....when the afternoon sun shined directly on this section of the roof....it got really bright....bright enough that it makes the existing bulbs look like they are dimmed. The bathroom fixture has 4 40w incandescent bulbs....I would estimate that the sun tube in the afternoon is about 3 times brighter...
