Ideas for Granite Countertop Edge?

Have a homeowner with an outdoor bar and the top is a rectangular 1 1/2 granite top with rounded corners. He wants to put some type of edge guard around the perimeter, maybe some type of plastic half round.
So if anyone has any ideas, it would appreciated.

does anyone know where I can get like 1" rope thats split in half??

You may want to head to the nearest boat yard. The metal and rubber 'rub guards' used on boats might do.--

Also see if AZEK outdoor PVC trim might have a profile that would suit.---Mike---

Your rope ides has merit---You could petrify it with CA glue and band saw the frozen rope in half.

I don't have any idea how well that would hold up to the weather.
