Idea for small gap when replacing exterior door

I replaced an old, broken exterior door with a new one this weekend and the project went great. The question I have is the brick molding on the old door was slightly wider than the brick mold on the new door so I now have about an 1/8th inch gap between the edge of the molding and the J channel for the vinyl siding, I can see the housewrap in the gap.

Is the easiest fix to simply back out the siding and move the J channel flush against the door? I figure I can move the track over and still have the siding go under the J channel?

Thanks for the help

This may cost you only your time and a small tool:

See if you can unzip the siding to access the J channel.

Possibly you have enough room to: Pull the nails out that are holding the J cahnnel, and move the channel over 1/8".

Then re-install the siding under the channel.

You need a vinyl siding "unzipping tool" for that. Most Big Hime Improvement stores have them.
