i used Acrylpro to set backerboard

I was told to use Acrylpro to set tile on my kitchen counter top. I have 2 sheets of plywood 3/4" and 1/2" under HardiBAck backerboard. I used the Acrylpro to set the backerboard and screwed it down. I found out later that this stuff is more like a mastic than a thin set. Will this be ok to go ahead and use thin set to set the tile or do i need to take up the backer board and start over and use thin set under the backerboard? we are planning to set travertine tile

It will be fine. The hardi will not move either way. You probably didn't need to you the acrylpro. You have a lot of material on top of your cabinets (why?).

i used Acrylpro to set backerboard

It's an older house, The floor was tiled around the cabinets. It had an old built in oven, I needed the height to fit a a standard slide in oven. I heard that Acrylpro crap never sets up like it doesn't when its in the bucket. Will it eat at or hurt the plywood over time?

Out of curiosity, how thick did you put it on? What size trowel?
