I can't remove exterior door knob, no screws, how to remove?


So here is my door knob, I can't figure out how to remove it, how would I do it?

Usually the outside knob comes off by unscrewing the INSIDE plate off.

On older knobs--you push in a button on the shaft of the inside knob using a screw driver---

Looks like that knob might have the slot--

then pry off the escutcheon by the door and a set of screws will be under it---

mike is correct, sometimes though teh button is really small and you will need a small allen key to get at it instead of a botton..

some other really old door knobs actually will twist off
