OK, if that's the case, I don't think 50K is enough to get what I want.
dont get too discouraged...i think scuba is saying if you are redoing the whole thing. You said appliances in the kitchen right ? that wont run you 20k. do you want to rip out and replace the whole kitchen? because thats easy 30k where you live.
looks like you could add on off the back if you wanted to. I also like scubas idea of waiting a little. Do what you really want upfront and then wait. You never know what you might decide after living there a little. Just be sure to talk with someone knowledgeable about real estate value before you put 40 k in and get 10 back. You would be suprised what adds little or no value to a house.
I wanna revamp it and make it more modern.
For the interior:
Everything in the kitchen has to be replaced with new, modern appliances.
To me everything in the kitchen means a total gut & redo
Maybe I'm wrong
The floor does look nice in the kitchen.....maybe you don;t need the cabinets replaced
DIY my last house I spent less then $4k to gut my kitchen to the studs & redo everything
That was maybe in 2000...costs have gone up since then
I had the fridge & DW, bought new stove & MW
