how to vinyl side this odd area?

how would i go about doing this area above the 6'x6' windows with this damnable 2x12 perimeter beam overhang to allow proper water flow in the rare event of sideways rain? i have undersill and J-channel to work with,
how would you pro siders do it? is there something more i need to get?

Run the wall siding up on the bottom section. Make a transition piece out of coil to finish it out.

With that extent of siding, you should rent a break if you can't borrow one. Many of the transitions you'll come accross won't have ready made solutions.

I think I saw a brake rental at Home Depot for around 45$ per day.

I'd highly recommend renting a brake---that is, if you know how to use it. If not find, someone who does to help you on your project because that isn't the only place you'll need bent aluminum, otherwise you'll have water issues.

What about the coil stock on the facia board? Or are you using wood facia?

I would bend coil stock for the situation in your picture.

Check out a product called pro-trim vinyl coil. It can be hand bendable but still a break is eaiser. It sounds like that is what you desire since you do not want aluminum. Have used it once before a couple of years ago for a coastal enviroment. Smaller pieces gave a better appearance over wider pieces. You can get it in a smooth finish or a wood grain.

That area needs to have a section of 1x stock attached to it, prior to installing aluminum over it.

Alternate method: Install a PVC type 1x stock over, like a horizontal corner. Install a drip cap over the top. Install J channel along the edges.

tom: actually, i hammer with my feet, like all good little monkeys do!

curapa: i'm using pre-shaped aluminum for the fascia boards. couldn't find vinyl.

atlantic: please elucidate. i do not understand the terminology. do you have pics of what i need?

anyone: can't i take strips E or H, (link to pic above) and trim off what i don't need to wrap around the edge with a fine-tooth blade on my table saw?
i'm also considering a 2 or 3 ft. overhanging, shingled awning to keep water away from the picture windows. maybe even all the way across the whole front of that area! that should end my problem by completely covering that whole section...any suggestions? reasons why not? code as to how it needs to be built/attached?
