How should I flash this?

I'm hoping that the pics below give you an idea what I'm dealing with.

I have a back patio that I plan on tiling. I applied 2 coats of redgard over the cement board to waterproof it (see pic). I am installing ceramic tile over the redgard.

Over the sides of the patio there will be siding (the 2nd pic is older but should give you an idea of what I'm working with, the patio is above the garage door on the right). Wondering how I should flash over the edges to transition from the tile to the siding.

I borrowed a brake, so can make custom bends to do this. Any help is appreciated

Here is another picture. Again, it is older and a lot of work has been done since it has been taken, but to give you another idea of what I'm looking at. Realize that all of the wood has been replaced since this was taken and everything is properly sloped and structurally sound. I also am building some steps to come down the side.

Thinking maybe I should bend a 90 out of aluminum coil stock and put it from under the tile to over the plywood. Butt my j-channel up flush with the tile and caulk the joint? I dunno, just an idea.

Absolutely flash it. I’d bend some 90 degree stock, at least 3”on the deck and 1 ” down the wall over the siding with a hem and a drip edge on the wall side.

It would be better if the siding was up, if not figure out how your siding is going to end up at that spot so you know how far to overhang the flashing so the flashing over siding will be a clean snug fit.

So I should lay the tile first and flash from over the tile to over the siding?

If so, how should I fasten the flashing to the tile?

Maybe go from under the tile to over the siding with silicone caulk where the flashing meets the tile?

You want the flashing under the tile and over the siding.
