how to repair metal without welding
Two of the three welds that secure the metal bracket to my metal mailbox post are broken, so the third weld is bound to break soon. How can I repair this without actually hiring a welder to fix it? Is there a rinky-dink procedure I can do myself, such as with a torch and some solder? What kind? How? Links, please. Thanks -Martin:whistling2:

Got to the home center and get a rivet tool...pop rivets...and a drill for the size of rivets you get. Total investment less the $20....and you would be surprised how handy it will be later.

or to be really thrifty, just drill 3 little holes and thread in small bolts, lockwashers and nuts.

Maybe JB Weld?
