if you hear it from a guy in the apron store, be VERY suspicious the mtl/method will work,,, when it time to build something together, they won't answer phones NOR help

Too many. I know I wouldn't want to hand mix that lot whatever it is. At least rent a large mixer or have the concrete delivered. Some rental places have small concrete trailers that will hold quite a large amount of concrete and it's easy to unload. All motor driven. They look like the back of a small concrete truck. You would need a full size pickup to pull it though. Good luck and sorry about some of the responses. Generally a pretty nice bunch. Unfortunately when one posts something a little unfriendly, it just makes it easier for others to do the same.

Agreed.
First off, it would seem the OP has not returned for an answer.
Secondly, sarcasm is seldom truly appreciated as wit.
Thirdly, I would have read past the "163"X93"X4"?" and seen it as inches and then just did the calculations.
Fourthly, some newbies have no idea what the 'search' button is for or how it works, and can barely maneuver a mouse! (Just go meet my Mom if you don't believe me.)
Lastly, forums are full of bored people happy to do the math/searching for a newbie, so I see no problems there. Indeed, most members here that DO help simply do it for the joy of helping others. So let's all just keep doing that!

How many bags of concrete

if you can find some good fill, like stones and old broken up concrete, you can dramatically lower the ammount of mix you need for an area. I recently pured a 1/2 yard pad with less than 1.5 bags, and it should have taken 2.5 (and I even mixed it rich)

another thing to consider is that some concrete places rent out little trailers they fill up with wet mix, kind of like a tiny mixer truck (without the spinning)

How many bags of concrete

we've now arrived at the ridiculous rather'n the sublime

' 13.5 feet by 7.75 feet by 4 inches ' means the critical measurement's 4 INCHES ! ! ! ANY spoil clean fill will negate possible conc strength,,, trying to state a 13.5 cu ft pour w/a volume of conc mix approaching 3cu ft at 4" is not just asinine & outrageous,,, then again, maybe all you wanted was a 1/2" thick slab can't even imagine such placement being permanent OR possible !

who sez the op hasn't returned ? you really think she wuz a ' hit & run ' poster ? if someone can't read a bag of conc mix & do a little arithmetic, its a safe bet pulling a u-cart full of fresh mud's not going to happen

notice jomama took the w/e off
