How to Insulate Flush-Mount Basement Windows
How do I add insulation to these flush-mount basement windows?
Should I build a wooden frame around the window so that I can shove in rigid insulation? Any ideas would be appreciated! Annie |

if you don't want it to be a window anymore = remove the sash. put plywood over the hole (seal with caulk). add insulation. then another piece of plywood.

Even if you did that, those windows do not look too energy efficient. I would look into a window replacement. Those sized windows can be had at the big box stores a lot cheaper than a full sized window.

And that dryer vent needed to be run through a hole in the brick wall not through the window.
Sure would make it easyer to do something with the window. |

Those windows need to be insulated on the outside. If you do interior insulation you'll be insulating the room heat from the glass which will become colder and the end result will be condensation running down the walls.
