How to frame around the windows in the basement and flooring

kycakelady Newbie   Join Date: Jan 2013 Posts: 1	How to frame around the windows in the basement and flooring Hi just curious how do i frame around basement windows. I am building a craft room. Also what about flooring? No problems with water so do I put a sub flooring or floating flooring first or what. I want to put carpet or is that not a good idea? First time project. I'd want a padding with a built in vaper barrier if your going with carpet.

Have you taped a 1' square sheet of poly (plastic sheet) onto the floor and observed over a few days that no water is condensing on it? Is the floor cold now?
