how to find the post location when there are angles
1 Attachment(s)
thanks for the help in the past, now I have a new problem I need help with. I have attached a picture. I have installed the ledger on the long side of the pool, ran two strings string out 10 feet to the batter boards where I will place the posts. I did the 3-4-5 triangulation to square the layout lines to the ledger. The joists are 6ft (oc).

As you can see from the picture, the side of the pool has a 130 degree angle in it. Once I put up the ledge on this section, how do I go about continuing the layout, find the location for the post and keep the joists at 6 ft? Center the post in the middle of the transition in direction of the concrete. You'll need to cut a "V" into the lower section of the post to seat it against the ledgers. Then bolt it to the wall.

Install ledger on angled concrete face.
Repeat steps you did for the first set of posts to square up and find post locations off that wall.
Pull two strings - one across the posts of the straight wall, one across the posts of the angled wall.
Where the two strings meet, install a post. Have your two support beams die into each other on top of that post.
Install 6' joists, double the joist at the corner so your decking ends have ample support (the doubled joist will need to be longer than 6')
