How does drain pipe around foundation footing end?

I always have a question which I don't have a clue:

How those drain pipes around foundation footing end? Run into a pit? Run to day light? Or connect to sewer system?

Does anyone who has experience about this? Thanks! :D

There are several choices, all of which should be made by a design professional.

Best choice involves HUD's Best Practices regimen. That can be found here starting on page 46: http://www.huduser.org/publications/...sturehomes.pdf

Next best, connect it to a properly sized sump and pump, and discharge it to daylight or an approved stormwater connection (town will have a say here).

Next best, connect it to a properly sized on site dry well through properly sized pipes.

Least desireable is not having a system.

You just got better advice than I could ever offer.
