completely removing the track and all or just lowering the door for repair/replace? there should be 'hooks' on the supports that unclip to release the door.
Depends on the door, but most of them do come out. You may have to remove the jamb stops if the opening has them to get the door all the way out. Most of them hang from rollers similar to sliding closet doors.
I agree,I have almost always had to remove the 1 top and side stop to get it out without dinging it up.Cut the caulk gently with a razor knife between the jamb leg and the top first.Then put a small flat bar/flat prybar and gently work your way up and down to pry them off.Be careful not to break them,it's not hard to do.Hope this helps.
