How do you know if a wall is a load-bearing wall ?

Never mind, I googled it. But I am still not sure if it is better or easier looking at the blue prints than trying to track all the wood beams, and loads. Would the blue print (if any) be straight forward in identifying a load bearing wall?

Usually, if you remove it and your house starts making noises, you will know then.

Actually you could look in the attic. If the ceiling joists run 90 degrees to the wall, then it COULD be load bearing. The reason I say could be is if there are truss, then the only load bearing should be on the outer walls.
