How do I repair a brick wall built along steps?

I have brick walls on both sides of the steps going up to the front door. The bricks on the crown of the wall have began to crumble & are falling out. I had a water problem which I believe caused the problem & have fixe that. It looks pretty straight forward as how to replace the morter & reset the bricks. I have completed several projects around the home, but never masonery and didn't know if there was anything needed to know before starting? They do not have anything to do w/the structure of the house.

Sorry for the late reply to your question. We are trying to bring the site back to speed so please hang in there with us. Not sure if you got the problem fixed or not but I found a site that gives some pointers that might help you out.

How to Replace a Damaged Brick

If you did get this fixed let us know how it went and what you did to fix it. Thanks
