Question

How to construct front porch stairs using concrete block

I have a free standing front porch made from cinder block that needs replacement. The plan is to extend the width to about 15ft to get rid of some dead space and re-center the door. We like the retaining wall/cap look (from Techno-Bloc, Belgard, Cambridge, etc). Can anyone provide me with the details on how these steps/retaining walls are constructed? The paver companies have a lot of information on retaining wall construction but very little on free-standing stair construction.

The total step height is 35", the top landing is 6' and there will be (5) 7" steps.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Paul
