How can I fix this loose toiler paper holder?

Hi,
I have no experience in fixing things around the house. In my bathroom, the toiler paper holder has come out of the wall (see photo below). What can I do to re-secure this & what would I need to purchase? Thanks! :)

Use a toggle bolt

or remount where you can hit at least one stud.

I see one of those big, white, plastic, screwlike thingy's, they sell and say "will hold up a battleship", but won't hold up a toilet paper holder will they? Unfortunately, the hole this thing left may be too big for a toggle bolt the correct size to help you. You could get a toggle bolt and try, let's hope it works. If this doesn't work, the you may be into placing a piece of 2 x 4 between two studs, behind the sheetrock, so you have something to really anchor the toilet paper holder to. If you are not a DIY person, maybe you can find a good Handyman type person who can do this for you at reasonable cost. OR, post back on this and we will walk you through this job, and reward ATTABOYS also. Good Luck, David

If you're a woodworker you could make a rect. plate with beveled edges that the paper holder is fastened to, and then the plate fastens to the wall with four fasteners of any kind.
This spreads the force and resists the yanking loads and torqueing that these things sometimes see.

when my anchor fell out, i usually replace it with the toggle version

homedepot used to sell it, but replaced the made in usa versions with made in taiwan/china ones nowadays
