How to best glue a mirror onto the wall?

24"x24" mirror going over a vanity - not just a simple plate glass mirror, a bit fancy, weights probably 15 lbs, and has a wood backing. The bottom will be resting on the backspash so it is supported there. The wall is painted drywall.

I have PL and Liquid Nails on hand, but am concerned of how long they take to set up and how to physically secure the mirror during that time. I could nail a brace across the front to hold it - but don't want to do the repair and repaint of the nail holes...

What is the best adhesive to use? And probably something fast setting?

Is there a particular reason you would not want to use the clear plastic mirror clips on this mirror to hold it in place? Your mirror, your business. Just asking. David

It's just the esthetics - no fasteners, brackets, etc. are desired
