How to attach sun roof to back of house?

We are going to build a sun roof on the back of the house. The question for you experts before we think of beginning this project is, do we attach to existing siding or pull it off where we attach? Just want a clearer picture before starting.

Remove the siding so you can attach properly. If removing the siding is not preferred, here is a way: http://www.sunporch.com/Content.aspx...PLWaysToAttach

I guess it depends upon your sun room. Either way I would pull it so you can have a more secure connection.

One of the contractors here can give a better answer...

Are you putting just a roof up? or a room?
What kind of roof?
Slope of the roof?
What are you using to build the roof?
Location - snow load? high winds?
