house wrap on inside out - what to do?

i had a "duh" moment.. i put some Typar housewrap on backwards, i.e., with the grey fiber mesh facing out and the white side with logos facing the house.

i have already strapped that section of the wall so i don't really want to redo it..

does it make a difference its on backwards?

can i just go over top the housewrap (and strapping) with more housewrap, but facing the right way ?

thanks!

I'm not sure on the typar products, I only use tyvek and felt paper. if your going to go over it, then remove it and re do it this way you'll know its right.

hmm.. maybe not a big problem

typar website says this:

Q. A builder client of ours has installed Typar backwards at a rim joist location. Should this be of concern?

A. Typar HouseWrap has a special UV coating on the light side that protects it from sunrays. If it is possible to replace it with the correct (the light) side out you will be assured that the product performance is at its maximum. Also, incorrect installation may void your warranty.

I would not install it over the strapping you will build up moisture between the strapping and the second layer of house wrap.

what was i thinking.. no, i took it down and did it again right. that's what a DIY'er should do, take the time to do it right, no short cuts.

i almost fell for the being lazy trap.. thanks for the motivation to do it proper
