Attached is a picture of some siding on the front of my home that is beginning to rot out. I am assuming that is is called lap siding? My question is, only the bottom board is rotting so how do remove to replace. Are the boards seperate or do they attach together to the one above it? Thanks!

Looks like that cement was poured after the house was sided
There should be a gap between the bottom of the siding & the cement
The bottom piece is pulling moisture from the slab & rotting

Had the same problem here, had to rip out the siding that was rotting
If its not too bad you might be able to fix it
They should be separate pieces

Don't be surprised if the sheathing and the bottom of the framing members are also compromised.
To remove the bottom slat, cut it horizontally about an inch below the upper slat and remove it. Place a small pry bar under the remaining piece and pry it away from the wall. Move along the entire length of the wall, end to end. Once you get it away from the wall, cut the nails underneath.

The paint on your horizontal cedar bevel lap siding is blistering from the moisture of the new concrete pour as Dave said. If the wood isn't rotted and just the paint peeling, I would lay a reciprocating saw on it's side to cut a channel out of siding back to the sheathing, including the inside corner 2x2, install a pre-formed metal L-flashing just under the cut siding bottom edge. This will divert the rain water away from the house onto the slab. Remember to cut the caulking at the corners of the bottom board to bend it out slightly when installing the flashing.

I actually had an entire row that was covered with cement
In addition the patio sloped back towards the house
So rain water was running back to the house & sitting there or running down in between the siding & cement
