hollow floor

Since I had a drain system installed in my basement, the area where they broke ground sounds very hollow. Naturally because they installed the system but I'm concerned that any excessive weight like a "dressed wall" will cause the floor to give way and crack... Any incite?

No idea what a "dressed wall" is.
If you mean a wall with drywall over it there's not that much weight per square inch and the 2 X 4 helps spead out the load.

joes right, if its a partition wall dont worry about it. however if this is a bearing wall it needs to be addressed. via jackhammering out the concrete and putting ina proper footing then patch the slab

I hear ya, thanks. I think what raised a flag for me the most was that the installer told me that my original floor thickness was 4" but after he installed everything, he said there was only a need to put back about 2" of concrete. Obviously, you never know how good a contractor's work is gonna be until after he's done working...
