Need to have pocket proud of plane of firebox so I can mount a t-v lift and pasma t-v in pocket. T-V will be hidden except when a remote brings it down into view. How do I cantilever stone out to creat this wall pocket in stone (stone is 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" by variable length limestone)? Thanks.

This kind of stone work is beyond me so I can't comment on that.
But I can comment on the electronics for which a know a lot about.
It appears that you are creating an oven to store your plasma TV in. Not good. While it might last the life cycle will surely be cut significantly. Electronics and heat do not mix.
If you do go ahead with the project make sure to put some ventilation holes in the rock work to allow flow of air. If you could put in some voids that would start at the floor this would pull in the cooler air and help cool your electronics.
