help me framing my floor

I'm trying to install a wood burner in my basment. My house has a cavity going threw the first floor(marked in red). The only problem is there is a floor joist in the way I need that moved to get to the center of the cavity to run my chimney.

I have an idea on what to do can you look at my pics and tell me if this is correct? tell me if this is up to code?

the "blocked" cavity:

My solution?:

Dependant on the actual design of your structure: When you do a standard "cut-out" like what you are proposing, you need to double the joists (which you show) and also double the joists that make up you new opening's ends (which you also show). Use double joist hangers on every location, and single joist hangers on any joists along the center. Essentially.... That is the basic concept.
