Help installing vinyl privacy fence

Hi everyone, I want to install a privacy vinyl fence on the back of my house. The back is all poured concrete, maybe 4-6 inc. What would be the best way to cut into the concrete to bore the holes? Also does one put pressure treated 4X4 post into the concrete first then slip in the plastic columns once the concrete has cured? Need some tips on how to get this done. I will only be installing like (5) 6ft sections. Thanks

Hi HH,

You might want to look into the cost of getting the concrete professionally bored out in the locations that you want and ths size and depth that you wish.
You can also look into renting a concrete/stone bore machine.
Example of machines:

I believe that most composite post manufactures allow you to use the posts with or without PT 4x4 's in them.
You could install the vinyl sleeves over the PT Posts (after the concrete and PT work). This would help to protect their finish, however, then you would need to attach them to the 4x4 with screws or other.

Here are links that direct - to install the hollow posts into the concrete, to allow the concrete to enter the hollow area of the posts:

Hope this helps...

Instead of boring huge holes into the concrete, you can just buy brackets that you secure into the concrete by drilling smallholes and inserting threaded rod deep into the soil. Or, you can break up a small area and put down shorter threaded rods and pour concrete into that hole. Even if you bore out the holes to insert 4x4 posts, you'll still need to dig deep to remove dirt past the frost line and then pour back concrete. Using brackets may be the easiest way.

Thanks, that sounds good, but will it be able to hold the 6ft vinyl fences? Do you have a link on these brackets your talking about? Has it been done before?
