A friend of mine has bought his first house, lived in it for 6 months and then noticed water was coming in through the foundation. They had to open up a wall and then found out that a previous owner must have seen that the foundation was cracked and leaking and covedred it up with a wall...then sold it.
My friend had an inspector come through before purchase and the inspector never noticed the problem.
He's contacted a lawyer and the lawyer says it will cost $10,00 to $20,000 to fight the case in court.
Does anyone have any idea what organization he could contact? I thought there would be some sort of fraud or protection organization for this kind of thing?
