Having trouble finding countertops in 24"x 96"

I have been searching in vain for countertops available in above width, everything online in 30" or wider. Need 24" and no bigger. Small galley style kitchen.

This big box stores all stock laminate tops in 24"--That is the most common size---

I'm surprised you are having trouble----

Rip some 36" down to size.
Cut off the back part and use tile on the wall for a backsplash.
This would be more in style anyway.

If you really need 24" and no wider and you want a stock countertop your only real choice might be getting it from Ikea. They sell countertop slabs (no back splash). They are 25" but can easily be cut to any depth you want.

The tops at the home centers are actually 25 or 25.5" deep. If you try to cut them, you will usually be cutting into the preinstalled back splash.

I will check in stores here. Lowes and Menards- just searching on-line evidently not best since you have told me most in stock laminate comes in 24-25" width. Thank-you!! Just bored housewife looking into replacing countertop.
