Hanging a 60"plasma on wall with steel stud

Good evening everyone....I'm in the middle of finishing my basement (97% done), the carpet is down, trim up, painted the whole bit.
My issue is, we purchased a 60" plasma tv(weighs in at 100lbs), which I thought we would just put on a stand, my wife wants to hang it. My walls are done and painted , but the studs are steel. I just wanted some final suggestions on busting open the wall and reinforcing the studs. I have wood ready and a 1/2"-2x4 plywood piece. How much of the wall should I cut out? As far as fasteners, the wall mount kit came with some, should I attach more? How easy would the wall repair be if we decided to move or move the tv? This is pretty much the last step and I'll be able to enjoy the basement(until the upgrading in the rest of the house begins)
Thank you in advance
