Green Guard XPS Foam fanfold


Can a house wrap like Tyvek be used over Green Guard XPS Foam fanfold siding underlayment?

yes,but it's a good idea to bring all the penetration drainage to over the tyvek and not behind the foam

Green Guard XPS Foam fanfold


Well we are thinking about using just the xps tape all the seams with 3" tape, what do you think?

yes i would tape the seams,is this over existing siding?

But see there is more to it than that,what you want to try to accomplish is bringing any water from any window or other penetrations to the outside of the foam where it can drain away harmlessly

you can use a combination of tyvek,foam and tape to achive a pretty decent drainage plane

Green Guard XPS Foam fanfold


This is what my siding contractor wants to do is install on Bildrite seal all the seams and flash around windows, then nail seamless steel siding, will this work ? I would like to use a building wrap,they claim this is better.What to do? ThankYou.
