Great Stuff and 6 mil poly vapour barrier

Does anyone know if Great Stuff can come in permanent contact with a 6 mil poly vapour barrier and not eat away at it or damage it? I called Dow and they said "it shouldn't" but I typically don't like/trust "it shouldn't" as an answer.

Great Stuff and 6 mil poly vapour barrier

I've gotten GS on poly several times, as spill-over, and it did not do anything but dry. Some of that sat around for years before I got back to it and cut the poly off; the GS was just sitting there. So, I guess my answer is "It shouldn't".

Great Stuff and 6 mil poly vapour barrier

Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

I have one more question I'm hoping you can help me with. I have some polystyrene insulation glued to my interior basement walls. I noticed that a few of the panels have a few small holes in them - not sure what from as I'm not the original owner. Can I fill those holes with GS?

thanks
