Save your money. Very little heat is lost through the floor of the garage, and the aforementioned method will result in very little benefit. I'd focus my money and efforts on insulating the walls and ceiling.

For slightly more money, you could probably install a hanging gas heater.

Oh my work room is completely insulated (its a room inside the garage) with its own ceiling walls doors and windows, and heater. Its just the floor that lets cold into the room, I was hoping to heat it with a match:thumbup:. Still no go? or hey go for it?

Hey you know that would work well IF I were just now building the garage, BUT I'm not. The garage was built long before I got the place! So we are talking about existing concrete floor, and I thought if it were built up 1 1/2 inch using 2x4's to support either pink, or blue, or bead board with a osb topper would keep the cold from migrating into the space.

Ayuh,... So,.. Put the radiant heating Into the 1, 1/2" rise you want to add...

Btw,...
I'd use Plywood,+ Not OSB for a topper... OSB will fall appart in no time...

if that's your car in the picture i think you do alot of work?? I think I would not want combustable for a floor when welding and grinding. Just looking out for your interests

I did put epoxy on the garage floor and it makes it feel less "stone cold" when lying on the floor

This is a 16ft/sq room (my man room) 8ft long work bench, rolling tool box, peg board wall with more tools. I got a 120V AC window unit, a 40,000btu furnace (its not ducted in yet) got a table and chairs and the all important beer fridge:thumbup: so there is no room for a car:laughing:
Its when I blow heat into the room the floor starts to sweat things rust bla bla
thanks all
