Gap Between Patio Stairs and Sliding Door

Any recommendations on the best way to fill the space between my patio stairs and the bottom of my sliding door? Photo is attached. Thanks.

Composite board. Did they put a sill sealer or a sill plate under the door?
A flashing should be slid under the door and over the composite board to keep water from getting behind the board and getting to the wood under and behind.

any thoughts on how to fill or make it more eye appealing? any help would greatly be appreciated. There is flashing already under the sliding door. Just need to fill/seal area under the slider. The composite boards were much thinner than the standard 2 X 6 boards that I replaced.
