Gable roof angles

Is it considered an architectural blunder to have two gables whose angles (pitch, rake, whatever) don't match each other? Or does it simply add interest?

To me, it looks like poor design, except on the obvious, like a New England salt box style, where uneven roof pitches are the norm.

For the most parrt, I tend to agree, however... some I have seen some that can work together. 6/12 and 12/12 for example. It REALLY depends on the situation.
