how far away does the wall need to be from furnance system in order to pass inspection

How would anyone know? You did not include your location to your profile.
No one know what make model it is.
No one can read what clearances are call for in the manual that came with the unit.

furnace clearances vary from model to model. You will need to research the make and model of unit to find this information.
