Full foundation/basement, abutting half foundation/footing
Looking for advice.
We have a home build in 1945. Cinder block foundation, on a 6 or so inch footing. At one point an addition was made where a full basement was placed.
So now you have a three sided full 8' basement wall, but on one side you have about 4 feet of dirt, footing and some more dirt. (in various spots cinder blocks have been removed).
What would most people do with this? Would you dig back a little bit, and pour kind of a half wall to retain the dirt?
