frost depth for foundation footings

I live in south jersey by Philadelphia. What does the construction code call for for depth of footings on a two story garage?

Each municipality can give the frost penetration requirements for that area and possibly soil type.

If the garage is attached the an existing structure, this could affect the requirement.

Keep in mind that the frost depth is for the maximum depth the structure will possibly see with no damage and does not have direct correlation to insulation that is determined by the seasonal variations.

For Wilmington, it is 30", but check local authorities.

On Long Island it's 36". That's how far the footings went when I built the kitchen addition.
