Front Porch Post with built-in downspout

scsiguru Newbie   Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 13	Front Porch Post with built-in downspout I would like to add a pillar to my front porch...right now there is just an overhang over the entry way. A friend told me a pillar is made with the downspout inside. But I can't seem to find a company that makes one. Has anyone run across this type if pillar?

pyper Member   Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 949	Front Porch Post with built-in downspout I've seen them in commercial buildings. Especially gas stations -- they use them in the covered area over the pumps. Maybe they're made on site? It's usually just a square pole with the bottom cut out.
