Framing roof for Chicken coop

I building a 4X8 chicken coop with the front side of it have a large window to give the birds sun. I want the roofline on the other side to extend out a little more to provide a bit more shade (like a porch). I was thinking of supporting this either with post or struts coming off the wall.

I not sure how to frame this, can anyone give me a simple drawing or point me to a resource to get the roof framing ideas.

thanks I was going to build mine almost exactly like this but was thinking I needed some shade since that opening was going to be on South Side. also was thinking of using a large window so I can close it during the winter since its so exposed.

Do you have plans for you coop you can share?

These overhanging rafters would be made of 2x10's. You could make them a bit smaller, and use 2x8's. The rear rafters could be 2x4's.

so looking at this picture some more I realize that won't one side of the roof have a different pitch than the other, this might look a little wierd , im worried about what el heffe would say . would it work if I cut a shallower slope on the 2x8s rafter ends?
