Framing for a new construction window
 
Hello All,

I am building a new addition and want to know the best way to frame a rough opening for a new window. For my window Pella says:

"6" Overall frame depth (4-9/16" wall depth). Eliminates the need for drywall return"

What size studs are needed for this window. Will 2x4's work?

That is for 2x4 framing.

(3-1/2" stud width + 1/2" exterior sheathing + 1/2" drywall + 1/16" overage = 4-9/16" wall depth)
