framing in floor void from a chimney I removed = Help Needed

I removed an interior chimney at my house that spanned through 2 seperate floors. The space i need framed in on the second floor will be a high traffic area. I searched online for requirements to frame it in but I came up with nothing. Can anyone offer any help? Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

The short version is you need to create full perimeter nailing for the new sub floor patch to attach to. That would likely mean blocking in-between the floor joist and then possibly blocking between those blocks.

Posting a picture would allow us to give you more detailed info for your particular situation. How to attach a photo to a post

"Posting a picture, blah blah blah.." I suspect every one has some version of that all copied and ready to paste before they even read the question.
Dimensions of opening would be nice too. Don't fall thru the hole while taking da pic, dpic.
