We are looking to build an addition on our house. We plan to do most of the work except for the foundation. Can anyone give me an idea of square footage cost for a foundation only in Ohio?
Question like yours can not be answered on an internet forum, first you need dimensions and such, secondly it is a local thing for that pricing. If someone from Ohio is on here they could give you an idea, I'm in California and foundation structural slabs are around $ 800 per yd of concrete here. That means absolutely nothing to you.
Find a local contractor that specializes in foundations and get a bid from him. Look to your local chamber or builders association if you don't know anyone or have any referrals given to you. If that doesn't work, call the local ready mix plant and they will give you a bunch of names.
why not this ?,,, its only a hole in the ground fill'd w/conc & steel,,, every job's different depending on - where - when - how do we get to it - forming mtl - conc prices - how much work's on the board - are we nearby at the time need'd - how pi**'d will they be when/if our regular customers call & we have to leave - when're we getting pd - how much education ( looking over our shoulder ) will you require ?,,, who's carrying insurance ( genl liab / w-c / completed opns ) ?
are you also a licens'd plumber &/or electrician ?,,, last i knew those're licens'd trades,,, are your plans stamp'd & approved ?
here its priced by the lf, not area.
