Forming a slab with gutter in back

I'm getting ready to build a kennel run. I'm starting to form the slab now. I would like to have gutter in the back so that when I spray out the pens, the water would collect and travel into a make shift septic system.

I'm trying to figure out how to form that up for pouring concrete. I've thought about letting the gutter be simply a 2" indention in the concrete and then have a taller backstop behind it for blocking the spray.

I've also thought about trying to use a 6" or 8" pipe and incorporating it into the concrete. After curing, I would then cut off the exposed portion of the pipe.

Opinions?
Thanks
Chris

Ayuh,... How long a run to the drain,..??

I'd think a level, shovel,+ trowl could fashion what you need,....

Forming a slab with gutter in back

I"m pouring a 14' X 22' slab. I will have four kennel runs each being 5' X 10'. The plan is to spray out the kennels while standing in the front and let the "stuff" collect into the gutter running along entire length of the back.

Ayuh,... So lay in a Swale across the back about a foot or 2 wide, pitching to wherever you want the Drian pipe....
'ell pitch the Whole slab to the swale,+ then to the drain pipe...
It's still a whiskey stick, shovel,+ trowel job...
