Footer Requirements
Does a 10x22 out/storage building (normal 2x4 construction) with a concrete floor require a footer?

Footer Requirements
IMO: This will depend on where you are located, the local building codes, etc. There are many quirks within jurisdictions. In my area, within the City Limits--Yes, you would be required to provide a footer for a concrete floor over nine (9) square feet. BUT, if you just get into the County, no footer until you get to one-hundred (100) square feet. BUT then again---you can buy a pre-built building, as large as they sell and will deliver under permitted load, which would require NO footer nor foundation at all within our City and/or County codes. Go figure. Check your local codes. David
