Question

Flooring on concrete

Does anyone know if you can put plywood on a concrete slab floor?
My idea was to put down a layer of 6 mil poly on top of the concrete followed by 5/8 t& g plywood. On the side of the plywood facing the concrete I was going to prime the plywood to help seal the ply. The reason for this is to eliminate moisture from getting to the vinyl flooring ontop.
Do you think it would work

If there is moisture, you will get mold growth on the concrete. It can't dry with the plastic on top.

The slab is 5 years old and dry. I am more concerned with any excess moisture from concrete

Have you moisture tested the concrete? It can look dry and still be giving off water vapor. Regardless, I think it's a bad idea to put wood on concrete. I have seen far more failures than successes.
