Is there any way to dampen the vibration felt from floors, I have floor trusses spaced 19.2in on center and are 20in deep. The strongbacks are are placed at 10ft. spacing and I am spanning 28ft. Any suggestions on how to take some of this vibration or deflection out of the floor. Would adding more strongbacks help or any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Can you get a beam under there at midspan? I don't think more strongbacks would do much. There should be some span tables posted around here you might want to check. HS
Without tearing everything apart and going to steel beams, I'm with Hammer. A decorative 'feature' post' or an open wall could allieviate much of the bounce.
