Floor Load Limit

I need to bring 1209 square feet of hardwood flooring to acclimate before installation. The total weight of the flooring is approximately 3200 lbs. I am planning on spreading this out around an 11' x 13' room.

By my calculations, that is about 22 lbs per square foot. I have read that the standard 1st floor live floor load is 40 lbs per square foot.

The floor joists are 2 x 10 and 16" off center, with a 13' span.

Will this be alright?

Floor Load Limit

are you planning on having a walking area to get around in the room or just start stacking at the farthest corner and work your way out? A pathway would reduce your storage square footage and increase you square foot load.

2x10 #2 spruce-pine-fir joists spaced at 16" o.c. with a span of 13' should be good for about 70 pounds per square foot total uniform load (live + dead load) and still meet the L/360 deflection limit.

Hope this helps.
