Flashing Question

http://s180.photobucket.com/albums/x...rrent=Roof.jpg

I have two issues on a slight overhang over my front door. Item 1, I believe I'd be better off just removing all the shingles (it's a small area, maybe 4 feet by 15 feet) and reroofing the area. Item 2 I'm not sure what I should do, I'm not sure if the area beneath the brick shows that it's exposed. Any suggestions for both 1 and 2 would be appreciated. Thanks

Having an issue posting the pic. It's in my photos

 Is there no flashing at the intersection of the brick and the shingles??? There definately needs to be.

The piece that looks like the flashing is in the middle of the picture. It looks like there isn't any protection above the flashing against the bricks, then there's also the hole over the shingles.

It appears that there was an apron flashing installed. and they installed the last row over the top of the flashing. I like to run all my shingles up under the apron tight to the wall. BOB:)
