firewall yes or no?

i own a double block rental unit in Wilkesbarre PA. Upon getting unit inspected for rental, rental inspector said there is no firewall in attic so i didn't pass. There is not a single firewall in entire building. Walls are slats and plaster. I was under the impression that this was ''grandfathered'' in. I bought the property 3yrs ago and had an inspection done prior. Nothing was ever said. I have tried looking for info in the UCC to no avail. Please any insight is appreciated.

I think in the case of rentals, the "Grandfather" clause goes out the door on some things.....could vary by county....

Regardless....a firewall is not a big deal...just put one in
